Dr. Somnath Chatterjee completed his MBBS (2001) and MD(Anaesthesia) (2005) from JIPMER, Pondicherry. After completion of his post-graduation, he worked in Department of Anaesthesia at JIPMER, Pondicherry for another year as Senior Resident before he left for the UK for futher education. He trained in the Department of Anaesthesia and Critical Care in Wigan and Leigh Infirmary for 18 months before he joined the Coventry School of Anaesthesia as a Registrar in Anaesthesia and Critical Care. He completed his Fellowship in Anaesthesia from the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 1998. He did an additional year as Research Registrar in Department of Anaesthesia in Heart of England NHS Foundation trust as the first Research Registrar to be sponsored by the Royal College of Anaesthetists in UK.
